Á:se Tsi Tewá:ton Experience 2015

Akwesasne Cultural Restoration

Video Project Time: 6:21

The Akwesasne Cultural Restoration Program hosted their second annual Á:se Tsi Tewá:ton Experience on October 3-4, 2015 where they had interactive displays, hands on workshops and presentations of traditional practices including Kanie’keha language. Apprentices in the ACR Program demonstrated their skills learned over the past year in the areas of traditional medicines and healing; fishing and river use; hunting and trapping; and horticulture and traditional foods. This event is not only an effort to share traditional knowledge with others but is also accountability to the community of Akwesasne regarding what is being learned in the four year program.
