Theme: Native Plants in Landscaping
The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe, the Akwesasne Task Force on the Environment (ATFE) and the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne will be hosting the Native Plants in Landscaping Workshop, featuring presentations on the use of native plants in residential and commercial landscaping. Exhibits will feature "green" technologies, products and services.
The purpose of the workshop and exhibits will be to promote community awareness and understanding of the impacts from noxious weeds and invasive plants species and the use of integrated Pest management for controlling invasive plants and insects pests.
Hourly presentations will provide community members with the knowledge and ability to utilize native plant species instead of non-native plants in residential and commercial applications.
Hourly drawings, puzzles and games for the entire family to enjoy!
Vendor tables available at a fee of $50.00 each. Reserve now!
